Sum guy came in wit a 99 disco1 landrover d otha day.. Said it was vry heavy on fuel. I checkd it out nd found d ecu got no reading from d afm. After openin d afm i found two blown diodes.. I had to quote him R22k on a new airflow meter.. Geez rover spares r way out! * +

Rover started puttin dif engines in thier cars wen no1 wanted um, made um mre reliable n ppl wanted 2 buy um.... I cud b way rng but das wt i got tol by sum1 hu wrkd 4 rover yrs ago!

K series lumps seem to want to pop the head gaskets all the time, even a well looked after one will go way before any other engine. Horrible design using smoft metals mated to a hard metal head * +

22k! Ouch!!It would be cheaper for him/her to buy a toyota motor and put it in the disco1 rather than gettin an afm! * +

True yeah! Luckily for him he came back 3days later wit a 2nd hand afm he found at a dealer in pta. It cost him R3,5k nd i fit it for free. D v8 runs like a wippit again! * +
