Do u want to do mechanics?i wanted to do the same thing bro,im looking at the intec paper now it says N1 motor trade theory,maths,engineering science and engineering drawing or industrial electronics.N2 and N3 is diesel trade theory,maths,engineering science and engineering drawing or industrial electronics.thats for diesel motor mechanic.for petrol u just do the diesel N1 * +

Btw intec dnt do mechanics thru home studies anymore,hope thats of some help to u,if u got your heart set on it go for it,im weak in maths and cir tances wont allow me to follow my dream so if u able to do it then all the best * +

Shash. . . .actualy u cn.a frend of mine failed matric got GG in maths.bt he doing mechanics or wateva it is at sum gud college in cpt.wil get u the detail.last year he started n1 and nw he doing n5 and is employed at sum car place in cpt.nxt year he c*ming 2 east london at the merc plant. He showed me hs contract 2 make sho it was(im a law student) and he gona hav a starting salary of R12000. . . .assembling the engines. * +

The college is calld Northlink College in Goodwood. Wil get u the fone numberz bt nt 2nyt.got a huge test c*ming up. . . . After all the tax and deductions he wil abt 8grand whch is gud 4 a 21year old(he wil b nxt year) bt im sho ther are also gud colleges around u. And apparently they credit u if u got experience working wit carz. Then u get 2 do N3. . . . .if u got a gud mark in maths u start an N4. . . .bt im sho i aint a biggie coz every N is done in abt 4 months. Bt its alot of work in a sh * +

No guys! Ur missin me ere.. Im already qualified and im doin landrover level1 in a few weeks time. So wat happens is wen u did al 3 levels, then u get calld a master technician which means ur now a doctor in motor mechs. Evry manufacturer agency shud hav atleast 1 master tech in der workshop apart from ur normal qaulified mechanics. Atm we dnt hav a master tech nd ma wants me to finish ma.. * +

..level 3 asap! Actualy mastertech means u r qualified to do advanced electronic diagnostics. From wat i overheard, ford, toyota, landrover etc levels are bout d same standard. Id like to hear from guys who already did ther levels bout how difficult etc it gets.. * +
