im looking at buying a 2002 fiat palio 1.2el, some minor probs with the car, 1thing that bothers me...if the car idles and u rev it, the rpm comes down but it idles high, what cud be the problem * +

not very high, just not the norm idling, i wud guess aroud 1500-2000rpm * +

other then that theres not much wrong with the motor, doesnt smoke, has the power it shud have(my dad has the 1.2ed), just the car needs 2 be resprayd, bodywork in a gud condition, interior almost new and the car has 130000km on it, * +

and the guy wants r20000 for the car...saw the same model at a dealer for r60000, and im almost sure i wont spend r40000 to get it looking like the 1 at the dealer. * +

it idles normal til u just tap te accelorator...then it stays high * +

Cud b 2 causes.. Either tps(throttle position sensor) or powertrain control module.. * +

Im nt sure bout fiats, bt u also get d asc idle control valve on fords that did d same when dirty.. *
