I think ther sum diesel cars that use them! I saw it in a ford mag, they got sum blades inside that move and stuff, i dont no much more than that, but im guna google it! *

you mean variable vane turbos. been around a while though, not brand new invention. i remember the technology distinctly in the 405 T16 because i really like that car, the rally version is a legend. the turbo alters the geometry of the vanes at various revolutions to improve flexibility of performance compared to a fixed geometry turbo, similar kinda thing to variable valve timing. optimum angle *

for any given time is naturally going to improve performance across the engine range. tonnes of this type of technology improves engines by allowwing lots of things to be variable to maximise efficiency *
