Iv welded hundreds of cracked cases over the years . . . they dont warp 2 bad if u pre heat em . . . HOWEVER . . . . impossible 2 do insitu . . . motor wud defo have 2 b stripped n the gearbox cases split . . . which isnt THAT big a job 2 b honest . . . * +

new case bro if ya gonna strip it might aswell replace it or get a second hand motor gonna be cheaper in the end trust me and bro change ya chain next time * +

I ended up just using chemical metal i know its not in the haynes manuel but its work well so far .touch wood hope it keeps on working for now *
