Hey, ever since a few weeks bck.. iv been hearin a slight knocking (tick-tick-tick) sound coming from my engine bay when i start the car in the early morn. It seems 2disapear as the engine warms up. Cud it jst b due 2the cold air temp (xpansion n contraction of the metal) coz the car stands outside durin the nite. Or is it something else? And hw cud i fix it b4 it gets worse? Seems to be getting louder over time. Doesnt sound like tappets tho..checkd them already. * +

A knock comin from worn big ends or small ends doesnt disapear as d car gets normal temp. Even a pistonslab wil make a constant noise.. R u posibly driving a vw or mazda? * +

Does the engine cuts off when hearing dat knock after bout 10min or so? * +

Did the guy who service ur car used the right engine oil for ur car?coz if he didn't use d right oil 4 ur car it wud make dat sound ur hearing when the engine gets warmer. * +
