hey i was just having an argument with an mate an want you guys advice, is it stupid to put lowered springs in a car without doin lowered shocks/struts? Obviously its going to be a bouncy ride but can it do any damage? * +

Yes its stupid to put a lowering spring on a standard shock! Ther harder than standard springs and wear the shocks out quicker! * +

thought so, but he was saying that the shock can 'explode' because of the pressure, is that true? * +

Wont explode,ul pop the seal n gas/oil wil leak rendering da shock useless as it cant presurize. I disagree abit wit lee.Its best 2get da whole kit but shortr springs n normal gas riders is ok 4evryday use.It only reduces ur shocks stroke.Say ur shock stroke 70mm,if u drop ur ride by 40mm,u only hav 30mm of dampnin left, thus ul hav a stifr ride * +

I work 4 gaz shocks 4 5yrs, so i do no a bit bout shocks n that as i use to build them! Its the fact the springs are harder the wears them out not the length! And i havnt gota started on how its guna change the camber! Tryes only last weeks if u dont get shorter ajustable lower arms! * +
