between the 2 i'd say the R6 is easier to ride. it's easier to handle around corners and the brakes are a bit more forgiving for a beginner rider. i'd say go for a VFR400 as your first bike tho... * +

My first bike was a 1992 suziki 'slingshot' bandit 250cc. Mind you for a 17yr old i thought it had loads of power, gave me a fright or two way back then. * +

id recommend somethin like a drz400 cos if u bin it itsnot expensive to fix and ur not likely to be doing 160mph , i know if i started wi my gsxr750 instead of my 250 i wuldnt b here now *
