It depends.. The 2.0 petrol versions motor never changed exept in d 505gti sedan. They got a ohc motor, but d diesels had quite a change from 2.0 to 2.3 nd also d timing gears were replaced by a timing chain! They got bigger flywheels nd for that matter d block nd bellhousing were also extended. I think d 4 speed still does duty in em? * +
