The car starts but soon after stutters and dies and the carb is pushing petrol out. Any help will be appreciated *

Try using a carburetor cleaner. Be careful not to get any in the float chamber or you will melt the plastic float.
Take a look at the fuel filter too. *

Your firing timing is wrong - or your valves have gone.
As your piston is letting your fuel in, your spark is firing
at the wrong time, so some of your petrol is coming out
of your carb. *
