The brakes started binding after wheel alignment. I' ve spent around 300 on pads discs flexis and been to several garages with the problem who all fob me off and charge to do it. The problem most likely to be contaminated brake master cylinder seal but since the motor isnt worth much more than 300 im going with the ibiza s and scr*pping the astra. Higher mileage but better maintained [ service history shows 3000 been spent on parts last 30 k or so). Just needs a downpipe flexi join, I am going to attempt to replace the part myself. * +
