If a cars idle changes when you push in the clutch,the thrust washers on the main bearings could be worn. * +

You check for that by looking at the crancks haft pulley. ask someone to press in the clutch,you will see the pulley move forward about 2mm. * +

Sold car about 7 months ago, see it everyday as the guy comes here often. Clutch still going strong, it still idles erratically every so often, but he does not seem to bothered by it * +

lol.gif Nobyboy If it's a dual mass flywheel failing you feel vibration and rattle noise with the car in neutral and the engine idling, that will disappear when you depress the clutch. Simples. But this post is ancient lol.gif * +
