Hi people...anyone able to work out the engine rpm of a ford escort mk1 if its doing 240 kmph? Someone I knw said that's the top speed he got from his escort but I think that's bulls@t. Standard gearbox and natural aspiration, and that's 240 gps speed. I'm not sure what the final drive ratio is on the car in top gear. *

150mph in a mk1 escort with the standard 4 speed gearbox? not too much bulls**t then. Not enough gearing for sure for a start, no way because it would never pull a stock 4th gear that long. You would also need 200+ bhp *
