Google Nissan ecu paper clip test for more information,basiclly u use a paper clip or short piece of wire to bridge two terminals on the obd inside the car which makes the ecu light on the dash flash,u then count those flashes and refer to the fault code list, it may give u a indication of ur problem,but it's not as good as hookin it to a tech2 diagnostic machine, worth a try and it only cost a paper clip *
