Hey people...wanted some input here. My car has been rupturing engine coolant hoses recently and i'm not sure why. First its the radiator top hose then its some other heater hoses and now i see the radiator bottom hose bulging. Could it be an overpressurisation problem? I stopped using antifreeze after the first rupture, now its just plain water. Could the lower boiling point of the water cause excessive pressure? * +

Could it be a compression leak in the cylinder head into a water jacket? * +

Could be a blockage somewhere. Is your car over heating? * +

get that 'anti freeze' back in it. It helps keep the system cooler. How old is the car? You may find the hoses are perishing. If they're all the same age, once one goes, the others follow. Is the car overheating? I.e. Is the temp guage going too high? * +

thanx, its a 99 model... and its not overheating and I don't think its a block cos if I disconnect one of the hoses the water pump pushes out a good volume. maybe its just cos theyr old... * +
