Now for the first topic... and I'm sure most, if not all Audi owners go thru this... your LCD screen on your instrument cluster, it's either faded or losing a couple of lines, apart from us all owning Audis', that annoying little problem is actually the other thing we all have in common, what can be done about this apart from changing the entire cluster? * +

Actually do own an audi a4 v6 . And tis easy to fix without changing whole lcd cluster. Lcd display has thin ribbon cable on its RHS that powers lcd display the bonding or gluing of this ribbon cable comes loose so doesnt make propa contact * +

Which results in faded or dim displays on hot days so check the lcd display there is a metal cover plate with legs ..straighten all legs it ll come off be gentle remove lcd display make sure u dont make plastic behind lcd loose * +

Take whole lcd to electronic repair shop to rebond or repair ribbon cable when display is removed car should be in off condition only. until tis fitted back. when u fix it back voila ur lcd cluster ll work like new .. * +

I've just bought myself an Audi RS6 :) love it!! .. If your having bother buy yourself a vagcom trouble code reader and it'll tell u what's wrong on your car. You can get them quite cheap on eBay round about the 50 mark. Very handy gadget to have! *
