Starter Solenoid. It'll be worn. Happens all the time on this exact model and engine. Case closed * +

Go look at the starter, it'll be a denso unit. If the solenoid contacts have not been replaced since the car was built which they probably haven't, they'll be worn down and that means after you wait for the heater plugs and turn the key you get nothing now and again......but its intermittant. Then it gets worse.....and worse as it wears. I mean i could be incorrect but i fancy my chances reading this having seen it a bunch of times before. A sensor failure is more likely to be instabreak than intermittant. * +

First thing to go to is the solenoid contacts, if it ain't them, look elsewhere. Absolutely first port of call should be what i said. * +

so we go and fill the car up today and it cuts out while we on the petrol court. Sooooo embbarassing. We was there for 40 mins trying to start the car. The lady from behind the counter came out and says to me you will have to help push the car away from the pumps while your husband steers. I looks at her and gos i aint pushing that car. Luckily i knew 2 lads that was filling there cars up so they helped while i watched haha never again will i go with him to fill up lol * +
