You'll get a 05 plate and before EP3 for that money. Mind you also need run and insure these cars. You'll get a mk4 gti for under 4k. A facelift EP3 a 53 plate onwards is what you want - they are quicker. Very reliable too. All personal preference to be honest * +

Just realised your in Africa but j*p engines are very reliable and the EP3 was one of the quickest whilst it was a current hit hatch * +
