bought a 206 quicksilver yesterday,on giving it a good run to see how it fairs, the speedo goes form slightly off to ha as-if this car even goes that fast, compared it using a sat nav and other traffic,it pretty much reads 30 as 40, 40 as 50, but upto 70+ its as much as 20mph high. anyone know how to sort this on the cheap? someone suggested pullin the battery but i fail to see tht workin * +

I suspect that a tyresize change has been made witout programming d ecu. Ur talkin of 20miles diff at 70mph.. Thats roughly 30perc! * +

D guy who owned it put on 195/45.17's whereas it ran 195/55.15 as standard. D fitter at d tyrecentre told him that d outside diameter wer d same but infact they wernt. * +

Al i did was going into d ecu under programmeble parameters nd changed d stored tyresize. It was ok after that. * +

uhuh,but im not entirely sure wot the standard size rims/tires the 206 quicksilver comes with lol. and i dont know how to change thos e settings either,if you're talkin about removing the ecu etc,it aint happenin..... otherwise,how do i do it? * +

Geez blu, 1st of al u need diagnostic equipment fo that purpose.. Removin d ecu aint gonna bring u nowhere! 2ndly, look in d owners manual under specifications wat d original tyresize shud b.. * +

ok ok smart-a55 lol. and yeah i would but d*mned if i know where it is,got a lil folder full of receipts,mot's and booklets with the thing. hmm think i'll just book it in wiv peugeot/dealer and get it set * +
