this is sad,all the hard work for nothing,as money is tight im gonna need to strip my 8valve gsi to repair my 16valve :( few questions tho,is the 8v suspension the same as the 16v?the springs and struts the same?just need to know before i start ripping it apart to find it's not the same... * +

got all the parts just the loom needs to be converted as i want the digital clocks in the 16v had dials,the 16v has electic side mirrors where the 8 v dont need to conver that to and the 16v has central locking where as the 8v dont ...think so it's just the loom that needs some converting..the parts i might need to replace are the wishbones full struts the 8v engine into the 16v body as the engine * +

is ed,the 8v is a 89 model the 16v is a 91 model so there are changes esp google is cr*p or im typing in the wrong terms for the search.... * +

want to also see if the 16v Gbox F20 short shift will work on the 8v engine i dont want to let go of the box it's just to sweet * +
