Before I get ripped off at the garage could anyone give me sum suggestions on what is making my car stall, it's a 2001 1.8 v astra bertone coupe,it only sumtimes stalls when it's idling when I'm stopping but it also hesitates on acceleration please help * +

check petrol filter n pump then check your idle if it's right. * +

Common prob on older astras.. Idle air control valve. Let d nearest gm dealer hav a luk with ther tech equipment to verify. Itl cost in d region of 2,5k. * +

Sounds to me like it's either a few things, cr*ppy fuel, and or idle valve/screw. Simply buy carb cleaner, take out air bleed screw, spray and clean it, then spray into where it came from and wipe oily mess,if can,take air pipes to throttle body off, and give throttle b*tterfly/s a good spray and wipe,repeat till clean.put all back together,input bled screw,start car,allow to get choke off, then * +

Once choke is off, you can then tighten screw till 8-900 revs as ur idle, or 950 if worried about staling:) * +
