A friggind brand new bmw diesel is noisy??? You have high standarts, man. My ex 1990 diesel mazda with a damaged exhaust pipe. Now THAT was noisy. Anyways, sometimes smaller engine doesnt mean better mpg. Take the 25d * +

Heard a 320d bmw go by today. I turnd to expect to see an isuzu bukkie coz it had a kind of tappet nockn sound but, it was a new diesel bmw. . . . .what happens when the tappet does knock when ur oil is dirty or lifters are gone, or oil pump gone, it wud be lyk a tapping orchestra. * +
