Hi @ pw. The plates theyr talkin bout is inside d lightswitch. It jst contact points that needs to b cleaned. 1st check d fuse nd bulps nd if everytin is ok, remove lightswitch nd open. Inside ul find lil springloaded copperplates wich touches each other as u turn d lights function frm off to park to headlights. Those contactpoints can b cleaned with electro clean or spookpis. Gud luck. *
