If a turbo motor has a bore and stroke of 76x77 and a cr of 7.4 , what would the cr be if you skim 2mm off the pistons? * +

Think u av to know if the pistons are flat or dished? And then the volume of the dish! Not that i get comp ratios, just c it in a mag once.. * +

Lol, i stripped my moer for the guy at the dyno shop yesterday. He was arguing with me that the motor will never handle 1.2bar boost (+-17psi),to run that amount of boost you would need a cr of at least 8:1 or lower,but the cr on the standard motor is already 7.4:1 * +

Is this an a series your messing with schizz.If it is then i know some of the mini lads use specially made thicker head gaskets.Another idea might be to use two but not sure how well that will hold * +

Not anymore ,blew up the A series, sold off all the parts that could still be used and bought a 1400 motor and gearbox out of a pulsar n10, rebuilding the motor,fitting langley sss turbo pistons, having the block o ringed and slapping a T28 on with 2.5inch xhorst which will then go back into the mini body, 140kw@1.2bar or 187bhp@17psi * +

I dont know about turbos as i only do N/A but to say ive taken my individually sports bike carb'd and heavily ported 16v unit to 12.5:1 and i can still run 95ron without it being rich,throwing its stock rods or cast pistons,or melting anything. Even with a turbo it must depend on the engine,as the boost pressure will be higher in the manifold than the combustion chamber,thanks to bottle-necks like the ports and valves.
