Whilst here, go with v6, as if rear wheel drive it can be set back further, due to compact size(whole reason of the invention) and give better balance, it may have smaller valves and pain to work on, space wise but shorter strokes, less bearings and lighter crankcase give higher revs and less friction (loss of power) over in line6, but better balanced engine is inline, n noise, but better powerful * +

Is v6:) hope of use , guessing advantages also would be more compact power unit, over long 6 taking up hood space and placing weight over front wheels not good for balance, but easy to work on , but v6 can allow more space n fit further n lower back to near mid car, great for rear w balance:) * +

VR6 is a compromised straight six, with one head and vertical cylinders but staggered bores so it's as short as a V6. Genius, but has head limitations. V6 is short but a shorter crank always means its less stable. Lighter in weight. Straight six is most stable, has most room for breathing, tends to be smoothest as well as best performing, but requires a big engine bay. * +
