Has anyone ever experienced that? I.m in a Toyota Quantum minibus taxi right now and the tyre burst when we were on the freeway it sounded like a large fire-cracker was going off. It's scary how random it is. * +

Not really random, tyres need care, if they're old, low/high pressured, high milage, high speed, cold weather hot/sun , banged kerbed, overloaded etc, they can n wil * +

L blow out, they need correct pressure for job in hand, avoid over loading, silicone sidewalls to keep moist, if left for long periods use chocks to keep in shape, high speeds need higher pressure, and avoid kerbing, all reduce chances of blow outs:) oh, that n good tires! * +

yes, had the front driverside blow out on the highway, 190km/h , went over 3 lanes of traffic and back again, ended with about half a rim by the time we stopped. Scary ! * +

My wheel came of at 100mph the car rolled due to me letting go of steering and let the car go his own way but it hit a pole which was half meter in size then it was the scariest thing as it rolled * +
