I didnt see a post 4 it but here goes. Inputs will be appreciated. First all for amps RMS values would be better to measure it. Roughly to work it out size of the amps fuse multiply by 6. Its also one thing to look 4 when buying one * +

he's right RMS per channel which is normally around 30watt per channel. I think sum1 else is smoking sumthing * +

multiply size of the fuse by around 6 (12v at 50 efficiency), and that will give you a rough idea of what you are dealing with in terms of maximum possible RMS power. Im not smoking anything maybe you could explain why you say so then ic ould explain to you that amplifiers waste 50 percent of the power or more in heat. * +

To get RMS power from peak or max power just divide by three. Music power is just half of peak power. For example, an amplifier is rated at 100w (peak) per channel. The so called Music power would be only 50w per channel. The RMS power would be 33w per channel. Big difference, isn't it? * +

cla55 a amps have 25 percent efficiency cla55 b 50 percent. cla55 b are the most common ones available in stores. Cla55 D are expensive but are 80 percent effecient. So that cr*p you see on the box dont give you exactly the right numbers (smokers) * +
