I had both 8v sohc cvh and 16v dohc zetec fiestas.. The sohc had more power lower in the rev range, and ran a bit ruffer than the dohc, that was smother and had most of the power higher in the rev range.. Fuel wise, ther wernt much in it! But the 8v on paper was the faster car and had 5bhp more.. But dew to new emitons laws in 1992 the 8v was replaced with the cleaner 16v. *
