I just braught a e21 strait 6 1981mdl and hav been driving it all day without a problem, 2nite on the otherhand it raind and i hav been driving it really hard. It drove fine to my mates place flogin it the whole way then i let it sit 4 a hour and now it jus turns ova an wnt start, any1 got any ideas? I dnt know the 1st fing bowt bmw's, to me it sounds like fuel bt i havent tested spark either. And i wouldnt know da 1st fing bowt fuel system either . Ill figure it out * +

Check for fuel 1stly,there was a member who had a similar prob we all puzzled to figure out the cause,the cause was his fuel gauge was faulty and had no fuel * +

Turnz out it was the fuel pump relay. Took it out an took it into biggest auto elec in town an they hav never seen 1 b4, they got on the phone an chased 1 up, theres 1 in the whole of australia and its in sydney and it costs 270 australian dollars! So i just put a peice ov wire there instead lol dodgy i know bt i kant afford 270 4 a relay! * +
