Whoz ever had ova heatin troubles an diagnosed the thermostat as the problem an taken it out and left it out? My daily hasn had 1 4 as lng as i kan memba. And iv done it 2 bout 20 mates and family etc carz an told em it rite 4 now so go get thermostat an bring it bak asap an i put it in4 nuffen. . .nt 1 ov em bak iv askd a few ov em and they say it works witout it lol * +

You need a thermostat in your car dude without it your car wil take to long to heat up so you get much more cylinder head damage especially if you have a alloy cylinder head * +

On certain motors the water pressure is to low for sufficient cooling in the last cylinder furthest from thermostat,leading to overheating and cracked heads * +

Havent had 1 in my alloy headed v6 4 ages. Havn had any problems. And it gets raped! Fing is a thermostat and gasket an gasket goo cost around 60bux and i kan get a whole engine 4 a hundred * +

I would not run an engine without a thermostat! It is there for a reason and eventually the engine will give up. * +

Most old heaps will run ok with no stat, usually means cr*p heaters in winter. but wouldn't risk it in a modern car * +
