Ok a joint question here ... Whats the highest miles you've ever seen in a car without an engine swap and slightly more illegal does anyone know methods of rewinding mileage on a car, not that I would promote that or want to do such a thing curious though :) * +

Guy at my work has a mk1 vw jetta 1.6 with 800 000kms on the clock...aparently the motor has never been opened and vw offerd to buy it frm him when it reaches a million...car is acttually in very good condition. Only the paint shows it's age * +

If you don't want to do it then no need to know. By the way if your looking for a car at the moment and your not sure on the millage you can check with the garages that did the services, mostly main dealers and decent specialist garages keep note and can confirm what the millage was when they last saw it or the dvla can confirm too as it's noted on the mots. * +

Lol some craic ... I think its very dodgy as far as ive seen it can be done not very well and alot of the time you wont even notice it... I suppose if its too good to be true it probably is lol is there any other ways of telling mileage other than the clock ... Its putting me clean off buying an an*logue dial * +
