Andy Rubin tweeted earlier today that there are now 500,000 Androids being activated daily: http://is.gd/Juc8T7 absolutely amazing when you consider that just in December they reported 300,000 daily activations. * +

oh p.s. these are activations of the OHA phones (HTC, MOTO, SE, SAMSUNG, LG, HUAWEI, DELL, Acer etc...) , so there are actualy MORE than this, for all we know its already hit 600,000. * +

How they knew about activation ? Because like nokia they not send any sms or any request for activateing... * +

Its the amount of new Android phones activated via Gmail, as when you get a new Android you have to enter your Gmail account and password. Last time Nokia said they had around 420,000 Symbians being activated, that was last year, so it must have droppd.

Haa,ya but I have activated my phone with my onather gmail id after installing new rom ..so they have counted that for two fones thy sold * +

why are you being such a pain lol.and im sure once it registers through yiyr phone it uses the phones serial regardless of the times youve flashed etc * +

It only counts the 1st time saif, it uses your IMEI, so it doesnt count again. * +
