Gsm only saves a lot of power but then you ask yourself whats the point in having an advanced 3g smartphone if your gonna do that? Unless your out for the day just calling and texting. * +

I get great EDGE speeds where i am, i can even stream YouTube vids comfortably, so i use that for every day browsing, FB, Tweets, Mail etc... then when i want to download or update a whole lot of apps i just switch to HSDPA. HSDPA is way too patchy for me to use it all over, EDGE is still a lot more reliable.So if im downloading using HSDPA i usualy put my phone down otherwise reception fluctuates * +

1.5 days? Thats not to bad. Say when u had your 5800 how long did u have before ur next charge? I have Emoze push Email poling every 1hr and have one account. 30min max music and 2hr or so surfing the web, but the d*mn thing dont even make it through the day. * +

I forgot to mention i use Opera Mini to Surf the web, and usualy have 4-5 tabs open. I barely touch the main browser. * +

When im in town wher i work, the Edge speeds are not bad, but when i go home in the semi rural areas its quite bad, infact in my bedroom i dnt have netwrk most times. So im used to Gsm connection. I just hope HTC have fixed their battery Issues. * +

My 5800 lasted 2days, but i used Bolt Browser on it which hardly took battery. I used Nokia Messaging and it pushd email to me, and music was around same as you. Bad reception can totaly screw up your battery life, the phones CPU hits max clock trying to keep connection. Yep, 5800 had excellent music quality, and its loudspeakers completely oblitarate the little one on my X10 lol. *
