Our system here in South Africa is the same as in US, but we pay the most of any country for many things lol. We pay-in for top end phones (or make the pay-in part of the monthly payment) , then buy an SMS bundle AND a Data bundle, get charged a shyte load for calls. Im paying upwards of the equivalent of 70gbp per month on my contract. * +
