Don't know if anyone knows this, but if you flash the firmware on branded SGS's, you need to change the product code afterwards, or else Kies won't recognise the firmware. Well, it didn't recognise my XXJPY 2.2.1 firmware after I flashed it anyway, due to the product code still being VOD. Now changed it XEU, which means I don't have to wait for Vodafone to release their variant of 2.3. It's now flying, and getting Quadrant scores of over 1350. *

There wasn't that much of it on my SGS to be honest Polo. But it's always better to be rid of it, than to have it. *
