if i understand this correct.. you would like to set your own mp3 SMS tone ? make new folder on your external_sd ... folder name must be Audio then in folder audio create another one with name notifications and put mp3's into that folder.. now you can choose mp3 for SMS tone and you can change it anytime without restart... in folder Audio, you can also create folder ringtones and put there mp3's.. * +
