It's the trend these couple of years. Put everything on the environement and polar bears not having a home to justify all sort of consumer level screw over. Now big billionaire companies can get away with less costs (imagine how many units they manufacture) for the same price, that's a HUGE profit margin increase. Not to mention the extra profit they are making on people having to buy extra earphones and chargers for full price.
I for one came from iphone and guess what? Had to buy a charger brick for around 20 in my country (next year probably they won't ship with the cord even) and now waiting for earphones to become in stock again. That's a total of 40 I had to pay extra on top of the phone price plus on what they saved since they didn't include them in the box yet made me pay full price. * +

You can use any piece of sh*t charger, though. We all have them and the cables from our old phones * +

Cables are wear items which usually fail before the phone, and the cable should be discarded if not in good condition (though most people wait until it fails completely).
A new phone should have a new cable.
The plug is another matter. There are USB sockets everywhere, and chargers last a fair few years.
The only reason I've thrown any away is because they were low output ones. * +

Just bought a Blackview and it came with Cable and an abnormally weighty plug.
The cable is type-c both ends, so it can be used to transfer old-new, as per a section of the setting up. *
