Mate, the 6GB is no rumor, Samsung are already supplying it to a number of smartphone manufacturers including Vivo:

Note that this 6GB RAM chip was announced late last year as Samsung usually do with the RAM chips, so we can pretty much guarantee that as we speak they are developing 8GB. They also recently unveiled 256GB mobile memory chip. Mark my words, smartphones will be very similarly specced to your avg. laptop soon at this rate. Samsung have to keep developing and being the 1st at many hardware areas, this is what keeps them alive, and with development comes the Research and Development costs and with that they have to sell these chips and keep margins up to make the Samsung board happy. We are going to see 8GB RAM soon, Samsungs fabrication business is their bread and butter these days, followed by smartphones.
