the CPU is very unstable and one of the better devs has given up supporting it over this. it also takes a bit of work to get the best out of it like disabling DVFS or getting rid of touchwiz. for a former flagship it's not that impressive really. * +

Yep, 2nd hand S5 or S6 would be great. The S6 may be a tad overpriced 2nd hand though, could probably get a nice deal on an S5, and as I remember it, the S5 wasn't particularly bad, it fixed all that was wrong in the S4, had the fastest Snapdragon 801 CPU variant, fast eMMC 5.0 memory, fast charging, and the very best HD1080P display on a phone. It also came with Samsung's latest Power Saving tech.

Two mates of mine have had their S5s since launch week last year and they never complain. * +

for cheap and new the one plus two is being announced in a couple of weeks and is set to be another powerhouse relative to the money they want for it... *
