another kinda indirect option is opera Max vpn. it gives you the option to decide which apps have access to the network thus cutting down background battery drain. it doesn't need root either

also any built in apps that you don't use ever can be disabled from the settings menu so they don't eat up juice in the background. apps that you've installed but never use should be deleted...

go to your settings/apps menu and scroll thru, remember it doesn't have an O like other products they make, it's an M on the newest version... * +
