I read this article and I'm not entirely sure what good being able to run this hack would do for anyone. sure they'd have biometric data for your finger print (only up to the standard this device creates), what can they do with it ? steal your phone and gain access by reproducing your finger ?
I don't see why anyone should worry... * +

Affects phones on Android4.4 and below and it isn't just the Galaxy S5, its Androids on 4.4 or below with FP scanner. Those on 4.4 must update, majority if not all regions for S5 and Note 4 etc...already have Android 5.0 anyway. * +

But look how many people have been put off updating, not sure what the hackers could do, just thought I'd share the info * +

Nothing wrong with the info. What they can do with finger prints right now I have no idea, but this is a cause for concern if they manage to hack post Android 5.0 phones. The day we start using fingerprint scanning for online banking is when this will be a huge issue, hopefully by then there will be major security measures. * +

most decent banks here use those pin generator thingys... pretty good security measure. * +

With the OTP Pins? Banks here use that to, and whenever my phone or tablet is formatted the banking app requests you relink the phone or tablet before it asks for a password. The banks seem to be the most jacked up * +
