Did the phone come in a sealed box as new? I might be wrong but it sounds like you have been sold a phone that has been imported and flashed with a different rom, an English one? There is talk about changing a 'CID' on the forums I linked to, I think it's basically about changing a phones product version to another, so like from Spanish Vodaphone to the world wide edition. I'm not sure though, I know nothing on HTC so a lot of it doesn't make sense to me (lol) * +
