I have Google maps and downloaded Street view from play store but when I open maps the streetview option is faded and not selectable, is there something else I need to do to get streetview to work *

sounds like you have an old version of maps...

for me, I have to press on the map to highlight a location, then tap on the address that pops up at the bottom of the screen. this brings up a picture I can click on that opens streetview for me... *
