Is there a browser besides uc browser that supports resuming downloads. Network is always shifty on my end so i'm forced to to look for a browser that is not only fast and lightweight but one that can resume broken downloads. As much as UC browser is fast, its not very intuitive. * +

it depends on whether the host permits pause n resume on it's files... * +

on most sites I've been on it seems pause and resume is permitted. Firefox does not have pause and Chrome doesnt even seem to be able to download on its own. have done my homework and Boat browser mini, both opera and opera mini as well as dolphin all seem to support pause and resume. Are there any better alternatives to say dolphin. Browsing on chrome is sweet but im now leaning towards dolphin browser. * +

May I ask why your preference lies with Opera as opposed to all the others. what makes it outstanding in your eyes if you dont mind my asking. * +

I stayed away from the newer versions of opera for a long time because they didn't have that full cream smoothness of 12. but recently I've become a fan of 26.01.
it does everything pages ask of browsers so well, like code windows in the page being scrollable without any extra zooming onto a tiny tab arrow.
video playback is excellent when supported, flash isn't but it usually works in all the places I go and will go straight into fullscreen if you have your phone tilted. * +
