Try downloading wallpapers that are the same size as your screen. The best site I am aware of for this is wallpaperswide.com, because they offer wallpapers in just about any size you can think of.
You also might try downloading a launcher app like Go Launcher. Launcher apps can are pretty good for letting you use wallpapers with little or no cropping. * +

..wrong link for me ('forbidden'),lol..anyway, wouldn't the phone alone crop the pic making it the best fit?..nothing's hard there-set as..then select wallpaper and your device shows you the pic and cropping areas.slide left-right, select pic area ,click ok et voila..! * +
