currys have this 7 inch tablet on offer for hundred quid. Any opinions on its performance when compared to rivals like nexus 7 variants and tesco hudl? Although I know it certainly beats the latter. It does have the tegra 4 cpu which is supposed to be very fast. I know the screen is not HD but that doesnt bother me. * +

according to many websites ive seen this tablet thrashes the original nexus 7, although I couldnt find any comparisons with the 2013 nexus 7. Although one site even went as far to say it was faster than the note 8. * +

Stop being cheap and get an iPad * +

its funny you should say that, because a review I just watched on youtube claims the nvidia graphics on ths tabet is so good it actually matches the ipad air! and that was a review by a a renowned technology company. cheap doesnt always mean bad, which google have proved with the nexus 7 devives. the nexus 10 for instance has a higher ppi and resolution than the ipad. the review said this tablet has a 72 core graphics GPU!and it also said its faster than the 2013 nexus 7. so guess I found out want I want to know. it also has memory expansion unlike the nexus and ipad. * +

or rather what I want to know! I have been considering this tablet to replace a chinese model with a hdmi port, that has become very sluggish. unfortunately very few tablets have hdmi ports, especially the high end tablets. although some micro usb ports can double up as video out on some tablets, having a hdmi port is more convenient. I did consider the Tesco hudl which also has hdmi, but the tegra note is much faster, and at 100 quid it makes it even cheaper than the Tesco tablet. the advent was originally over 200 quid so it never was a dirt cheapo unlike the Hudl. thats not to say the Hudl * +

thats not to say the Hudl is a poor tablet though, because it isnt. infact its remarkably good for the price, its just that the tegra note is far better so its a no brainer not to go for it when its cheaper. I think some people would be surprised at how good some of these budget tablets really are, and I do have a samsung galaxy note 8 LTE so I dont only have budget tablets. I like the design and appearance of the ipads but I dont like the lack of functionality. like the lack of bluetooth file transfer, no memory expansion, being tied to apples apr*n strings meaning your stuck with the apple s * +
