I have a problem with my Galaxy S4. It keeps on showing the SView screen, meaning that the screen turns black and it shows the time in white. I have googled it but the sites I've found showed people who's screens were stuck like that. Mine just flashes all the time when I'm using it and when the screen is off. * +

Yes, I'd like help. It started months ago, but wasn't such a big problem because it happened infrequently. But now it's happening everyday. I've got a lot of apps, but no hacks and/or flashes. I've uninstalled apps I thought it could be (launchers, lock screen replacements, other apps from 3rd party sites) but the problem still persists. There's no difference from before or after software update (4.3 To 4.4.2) * +

I turned off all of that because I don't use them. The only things I do use is Wifi/mobile data, power saving mode and reading mode. * +

Don't format, don't uninstall ANYTHING, it is a hardware fault, take it in and tell them to change the Magnet Sensor and LCD, the issue is between the two, my S4 did it late last year, I took it in and hours later Samsung had fixed it. I see you are here in SA, so your GS4 is covered by Samsung's ADH repairs, they can fix it within 2hours if the Samsung Smart Care you go to has parts readily available. * +

BTW it isn't a screen of death, its due to a faulty component, usually the fault is caused by the phone being exposed for long periods to very strong magnets, mine was due to me always putting my phone on my laptop and iPad cover (which has a magnet). It affects such a tiny amount of S4s that there's very little about it on the internet, I spoke to the technician who fixed my phone and he explained it. * +
