the s4 mini has an advantage in the graphics n cpu.. although both has the same screen size the S4 mini has a lower PPI than the V...S4 mini has good battery life too.. overall the s4 mini is the winner but if u wanted to save money and a water resistant phone then I would go all the way with V... I didn't considered the camera though...but generally 8mp is already enough for family,friends,view photo(which is the S4 mini) * +

Let me put it this way, the GS4 Mini has Android4.2.2 out-the-box while the Xperia V is still on Android4.1 * +

My friend dropped her s4mini from her hand.. just 3ft height and the whole screen shattered. If u have clumsy hands, well.. s4mini is not for you. Dont know anything about xperia v * +
