budget droid phones sometimes have older android software for one of two reasons, either they are not man enough to run the more recent versions or the manufacturer is cost cutting. as a result many cant even be upgraded to later firmware versions, handset dependent of course. high end smartphones can be a better investment in that sense because they have enough power to run new android versions as they are released. for example the jellybean update for the older, but still powerfull galaxy s2. however the obvious disadvantage with LTE/4G is that it will run your battery down far quicker! * +

I just got a galaxy s3 yesterday,its a pretty cool phone.I'm not a samsung fan,just bought this one to test my android apps with,but I might just become an android fan lol.I've been a BB fan,but thought I should give Android app development a shot.So let's see how it goes,so far so good *
