I know its a bit of a cheap shot to ask in here. But I'm wondering if anyone could maybe offer some advice on my problem. I have had the phone only a few months, my brother had it for about a year before hand. It was working perfectly fine, then yesterday evening the power button jammed up. Meaning I couldn't unlock the phone from sleepmode. I read to do a factory reset, a soft cell reset, neither helped. Then the sound went, I get no sound with headphones plugged in either. * +

countinued: I can't make any calls as it looks the screen up. So I'm just wondering if anybody could shed some light, I'm guessing its a hardware problem, and I'm going to take it to a phone shop. Just wondering if anyone else has had this problem? And was it resolved? * +

definitely a hardware problem, take it to a mobile phone shop to get it repaired BUT ask the price first as you could buy a brand new huwaei ascend g300 for around 100 quid it has roughly the same innards as the desire hd and if the repair is too much then a new mobile would be better than getting the old one repaired * +

Thank you. I did think hardware. Just wanted to see if anyone thought the same really. I will ask how much first. :) * +
